The Language Learning Journal Special Collection, commissioned in anticipation of the Curriculum and Assessment Final Report, has 18 articles which may be of interest to NALA members.
The Special Collection, guest edited by the IOE, brings together contributions from language education experts across the fields of research and practice. It provides evidence-informed recommendations on matters of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment with a view to improving the take-up of and progression in languages.
Topics addressed include the role of supportive policy directions to enable uptake by all learners, the positioning of home, heritage and community languages, the role of oracy, the nature of progression, aspects of multilingual pedagogy, alternative qualifications, and the potential contribution of digital technologies.
