Bring Spanish Cinema into Your Classroom!

Free online screenings for flexible classroom viewing 1-16 October 2026

The Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy Education Office, Platino Educa and the Unidad de Acción Educativa Exterior of Spain, will offer schools across Scotland and the UK free online access to two engaging Spanish-language films — one feature film and one short film — for students studying Spanish as a foreign language. Both films are accompanied by teaching guides and classroom activities specially designed to support their educational exploitation.

English subtitles: Available to support comprehension and make the films accessible to a wider range of students.

Easy, flexible online access: Watch the films in your classroom, using a simple access code

Teachers who participate in the schools programme, and consent to the sharing of their personal data with the institutions involved in the festival, will be eligible to enter a prize draw to win a scholarship from the University of Salamanca covering an online teacher-training course.

Online screenings: 1-16 October 2026
